In the 1960's and 70's, Houston's architecture significantly shifted to reflect the city's booming economy. From the Astrodome to the Museum of Fine Arts to the Rothko Chapel to the terrific modern homes throughout the city, Houston became modern in every way and continues to be architecturally progressive today. Because Houston is one of the top cities for fabrication, architects have direct access to metal, steel, and glass fabricators on a local level, and as a result, have designed and constructed some amazingly creative and innovate works.
